As an integrative practitioner, I draw from various therapeutic schools of thought and approaches, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of my clients.
My approach is non-judgmental, supportive, embodied, and creative, and ranges from existential and transpersonal schools of thought to somatic and Jungian concepts. Compassion, respect and curiosity are vital foundations of relating to my clients. My work encompasses techniques such as dreamwork, breathwork, guided visualization, Gestalt techniques, enquiry, creative expression, body awareness, parts work informed by IFS, trauma-informed techniques and psychobiology, amongst others.
Rather than acting as the "expert," my role as a therapist is to walk alongside you, helping to untangle your difficulties, provide new perspectives, occasionally suggest possibilities (not advice), and most importantly, offer a safe, supportive space where you can fully explore yourself.
Working from the phenomenological stance, I am alive to what’s emerging from the unconscious in the therapeutic process. By being present and responsive to these subtle, not immediately apparent dynamics, I help clients bring them into awareness, facilitating deeper understanding and insight. This approach allows for a more holistic and transformative process, where unconscious material is gently explored, integrated, and ultimately used to support healing and personal growth.
In today's fast-paced and stressful world, finding time to explore and reflect on our concerns can be challenging. Whether you're navigating depression, anxiety, conflict, trauma, grief or simply seeking greater self-awareness, I provide a safe and professional space for exploration and growth. I work with a wide range of issues and clients from diverse backgrounds, helping individuals make meaningful and lasting changes in their lives.
In addition to formal psychotherapy and counselling training, my 25+ years of exploration in intuitive and embodied practices, including breathwork, healing/spiritual traditions, and shamanic work, have significantly shaped my therapeutic approach. My ongoing (17+ years) deep engagement with authentic movement practices further enriches my understanding of the mind-body connection, allowing me to offer a more holistic and soulful experience to my clients.
My commitment to ongoing professional development and personal growth ensures that I stay up-to-date with training and deepen both my personal and professional passion for the work I am privileged to do.
